Ruth Vilmi’s Paintings, Volume 2 is my third art book. It  includes some new paintings and some old favourites.

It was minus 25C this morning, but about 15 people of all ages came to my exhibition:-) One was a visitor from Facebook.  Two 3-year olds enjoyed painting – it’s their second exhibition at Kahvi-Kaisa!  The youngest visitor was just 3-weeks old.

Children are very welcome, and have a chance to paint:-)

On 27th December, the sun came out for a while and I went for a walk near my home, with my camera. It was minus 10C, as opposed to minus 20C the previous day, so I managed to take a few photos before the batteries gave out. In the first photo, there’s a woman taking an icy dip in the foreground, and men fishing through a hole in the ice in the background – both very usual happenings on the sea in winter. I love the sky and the feeling of space in these shots, and hope you do too:-)

I went to Torni terrace one dark evening in November and practised taking some night photos.
